Welcome to Badge Guru, operated by Bitwork Solutions. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our mobile application, Badge Guru, including any related e-commerce activities.

We may collect personal information that you provide to us, such as:

  • Mailing address
  • Phone number
  • Payment information
  • Any other information you choose to provide

1.2 Usage Information

When you use our Service, we may automatically collect certain information about your device and usage, including:

  • Device information (e.g., IP address, operating system, browser type)
  • Usage data (e.g., access times, pages viewed, links clicked)
  • Location data (if you allow us to collect it)

On Android, our camera feature includes Google's ML Kit barcode-scanning SDK. When the SDK is used, it sends diagnostic and usage data to Google, including device and app information, identifiers for each installation, performance metrics, configuration, event, and error data. Google uses these metrics to troubleshoot, maintain and improve its APIs, and detect misuse or abuse. See Google's Privacy Policy and ML Kit Terms and Privacy. Badge Guru separately uploads scanned images and related files to provide its scanning service.

1.3 Scanned Data

Our App allows users to scan car emblems. The scanned data may include images and related metadata necessary to produce a file for the user. When you save a scan, we keep its original images and related files so you can access and work with it. Removing a scan from your library hides it from view and does not erase its stored images or related files.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for various purposes, including to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our Service
  • Improve, personalize, and expand our Service
  • Process transactions and send related information, such as purchase confirmations and invoices
  • Communicate with you, including sending updates, technical notices, security alerts, and support messages
  • Analyze usage patterns to enhance user experience
  • Prevent fraudulent transactions, monitor against theft, and protect against unauthorized activity
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following circumstances:

5. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access and update: You can access and update your personal information through your account settings.
  • Delete: You can request account deletion through Account Settings or follow our account deletion guide. Once accepted, deletion permanently closes your account and removes your profile, preferences, and saved scan records. Device registrations are removed or unlinked from your account. Stored images and related files may remain while removal is pending or ownership needs review. We do not retain your deleted account's scans or device identifiers for research.
  • Opt-out: You can opt-out of receiving promotional emails from us by following the instructions in those emails. If you opt-out, we may still send you non-promotional emails, such as those about your account or our ongoing business relations.

Some order, billing, and fulfilment information may be retained to complete an order, meet applicable legal or accounting obligations, or resolve payment disputes. These records may contain personal information and are not necessarily anonymous. Backup copies may remain until they expire under their configured retention schedules.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you of the changes through the Service or by other means. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect will signify your acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
